The Final Telegram is an interactive installation inspired by the Titanic’s Marconi Room, allowing visitors to leave recorded messages through a vintage microphone and Morse Code key. Their voices are transformed into lines of text that gently drift across a large ocean-like display, symbolizing messages carried by the sea. The installation evokes the emotional narrative of the Titanic musical—highlighting the themes of memory, loss, and connection.
Contributions: I led the end-to-end design and project management, overseeing every stage of the installation. I managed the overall creative direction and coordinated the full development cycle, including experience design, technical implementation, and onsite interaction flow. I designed the UI/UX for the system interface, programmed the interactive visuals, and built the hardware setup integrating the vintage microphone, Morse key, and custom electronics.
Additionally, I crafted the narrative concept, developed the physical booth design, executed user testings, and ensured the final installation was intuitive and emotionally resonant within the theatrical context of the musical space.
